Amsterdam day 2 – The Anne Frank House And Rembrandt

Amsterdam houses

When I woke up in the hostel, I noticed a guy smiling at me. He did it for like 2 minutes and fell asleep again. It was so odd! The only explainable reason for this would be that he was  just simply high. I tried to ignore what happened and woke up the girls, so we were able to get some early breakfast. After a while of walking around between the beautiful canals of Amsterdam, we found a small little Italian cafe and had some crepes and macarons, with Espresso in it. It tasted so good! The macarons had the …

Amsterdam day 1 – Be careful what you eat!

Amsterdam houses

This time I went together with 2 of my best friends – Valentina and Caterina – to Amsterdam. The girls arrived very late at the airport and we got into the airplane just in time. As the flight was very early, we had a beautiful sunrise over the clouds. For some reason, the Airplane hit the ground very hard and some of the passengers even screamed for a second, but nothing serious happened. From the airport we got directly to the train station and bought a 3 day ticket each. At the central station we had to figure out where the …

Gran Canaria – Conclusion

dunes maspalomas gran canaria

Gran Canaria is a fascinating island with a lot to explore! The north of the island is full of Spanish people and it is hard to find English speakers. So if you want to visit this part, you should know some Spanish phrases. In the south on the other hand, you will find everything but Spanish. The most spoken languages there are English and German. Also this part is very touristic with many attractions and tours. If you travel from the north of Europe, or North America, you will find many things on this island very cheap. To travel around the …

Gran Canaria day 5 – Lost in the desert

When I woke up, I checked my bank account and saw that there was no money on it at all! I was broke. Of course I was a bit upset, but I tried to stay calm and thought about what to do next. As I wanted to go to the next place, I asked a friend of mine online if she can book a place for me. The money I had left was enough for some food and a bus ticket, so this wasn’t a problem at all. Fortunately she booked a place to stay for me via Airbnb in …

Gran Canaria day 3- The pizza incident or never leave your pizza unattended!

The next day, I woke up early and got ready for the bus. I had to be quick, as there was only one bus in the morning. Otherwise I would have had to wait another 5 hours. I waited for the bus, which came too late and I also had an even worse trip than before. This time the bus drove in the middle of the mountains, up and down, one curve after another, my stomach had troubles to survive this. The driver himself was simply mad! He talked on his mobile, drove in the middle of the road, didn’t …

Iceland day 5 – A strange day in the swimming pool

I woke up, had my daily routine and during my shower I was thinking about the falling star I saw last night when I was looking for the northern lights. Then I went towards Reykjavik. But first of all, I stopped at an Icelandic bakery to eat some typical pastry. I have to say, they are really good at baking pastry. When I left Selfoss, 2 women stopped for me. The Canadian women were so happy to give me a lift because it was one of their points written on their bucket list. It is part of the culture in Iceland to stop …
